Mixed use development at the former Classic Cinema site.
We lodged a planning application to Dublin City Council on behalf of Garvagh Homes Ltd. for a mixed-use development including office & restaurant with 91 residential units on a site, formerly the Classic Cinema, Harold’s Cross Road, Dublin 6W.
In summary the proposal provides a 91 apartment housing development. It consists of 3 building blocks consisting of five-storey setback, a retail unit, offices, a naturally ventilated basement, 2 external courtyards, bicycle parking stores and separate waste management facilities.
Following a Request for Additional Information, Dublin City Council decided to grant Permission. That decision was appealed by local residents to An Bord Pleanala. The Board granted permission for the development as originally applied for. Work is sheduled to commence as soon as circumstances permit.
